Do You Need to be Worried?
I am sure you must have read Newton’s 3rd Law “Every Action Has an Equal and Opposite Reaction” and this is the fundamental law of physics. The same law applies here to you on your body’s physical, behavioral and emotional reactions.
If there is an action in your body and brain in the form of fear, pressure, insecurity, a sense of losing something, and a lack of faith. But there is a fact that living stress-free life can be dangerous and unhealthy. If you don’t feel butterflies in your stomach during an urgent or difficult task then it’s not a healthy sign. Having a little anxiety and stress keep you motivated to finish your tasks in time and make a balance between your relationships.
On another hand, too much anxiety and stress can ruin your life, and repeated and frequent episodes can lead to depression. But my question here is again do you need to be worried if you have faith in God.
Your anxiety, stress, and depression come only when you don’t have faith in yourself. Your worry and anxiety increase only when your faith becomes weak and you don’t believe that whatever happens is by the will of God.
How to Overcome Anxiety, Stress, and Depression
There is the only mantra to fight anxiety, stress, and depression; believe in yourself and believe that whatever God does, he does it for good. If you have the faith, then only other therapies will work for you otherwise will not get the benefit that you need.
Before proceeding further let me tell you a true story of faith, which will prove that faith plays a big role in defeating diseases like anxiety and depression.
The Faith and the Relation between Anxiety, Stress, and Depression
Once upon a time a King and his Commander General went on a hunt in the forest. They both went deep into the forest chasing a deer. Suddenly a lion appeared and both of them clashed with the lion in their defense.
In this battle, they saved their life but the thumb of the right hand of the King was cut off. The king felt very sad because now he will never be able to shoot arrows with his right hand.
But his Commander General thanked God and said that whatever happens is for good, there must be some goodness of God hidden in it too.
Unbelief
The king got very angry after listening to the commander. He said, O commander, how dare you say this. I have lost my right thumb and you are saying that there will be some goodness of God in this too when I will never be able to shoot arrows with this hand again.
King angrily ordered the soldiers that the commander be arrested and sentenced him to life imprisonment. The commander said that he was his most loyal soldier but the kind didn’t listen. While going to jail, the commander again repeated the same word that God would have some good in it too and he thanked God.
The Positivity
Time went on, the commander used to worship and thank God in jail for giving him life. He used to do all his work himself and thanked God that he gave him health. The commander used to be very happy and relaxed inside the jail, the rest of the prisoners were surprised to see this.
The prisoners were very curious to know so they asked the commander for the reason behind his happiness. The commander said when you came into the world you were empty-handed and whatever you got was given by God. Therefore, whatever God does, he does it for our good, which we cannot see, so we should always thank him.
The End Result
After some years the king again went hunting with his soldiers. The kind got separated from his soldiers and went deep into the forest. He moved away from his border and reached a place where a tribal community lived.
By the time the rest of the soldiers had reached that place searching for him. There was worship going on for those people in which they had to sacrifice a male. The tribal people caught the king and took him to the ground for sacrifice. The tribal chief ordered his soldiers to take off the king’s clothes and bathe him. When the soldiers took him to be sacrificed, the Tribal Chief said that he did not have a thumb, so he could not be sacrificed. They need a complete person who has no flaws.
The king’s life was saved and he came back to his palace.
The Impact
As soon as the kind reached his palace, he ordered to release of the first commander and called him to him. Kind thanked the commander and said that you were absolutely right. You were right that whatever happens, happens for good. He told the whole story to the commander and said today my life is saved only because I do not have a thumb.
But the king was very upset and embarrassed that he kept the commander in jail for so many years without any reason. He apologized to the commander, but the commander said that in this also God was better from God’s side that he was in jail.
The kind said how can being in jail be better for you? The commander said if I had not been in jail, I would have gone hunting with you they would have sacrificed me in your place. Don’t you think this one sentence a belief can easily overcome Anxiety, Stress, and Depression
The Moral of the Story
Don’t feel sorry for any loss, no matter what. It was not for you, we don’t know what God has for us better than that. We are not able to see that far and we start falling prey to anxiety and depression due to minor losses or pressure. If you believe that whatever happens only by the will of God, then you can never go into depression and you will say that depression is nothing but a myth.
Give thanks to God for what you have. Have as much desire for the money as necessary for you. Not everyone can get everything, not everyone can do the work for everyone, likewise, no two human beings can be alike.
And the biggest thing is if you have health, then there will be no greater wealth than that. If you are ready to spend all your savings to save your health. So if you are healthy then you are the richest person in the world.
Think those are orphans, who don’t even have bread for two times but they are happy and give thanks to God who created them.
The day you will start believing this, all your anxiety, stress, or depression will go away.
Moreover, there are techniques to help and support your mental status, you should also seek medical attention if needed.
